Fireworks and Farm Animals – Please Think of Our Animals

As Bonfire Night approaches, please spare a thought for the animals who don’t understand the loud bangs and bright flashes.

Here at Life Between the Ears, our animals are not just part of our business — they’re our family.

Horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, alpacas, chickens and other farm animals can become frightened by fireworks. Sudden noises may cause them to panic, run into fences, injure themselves or become distressed.

How you can help

  • Choose silent or low-noise fireworks where possible.
  • Let neighbouring farms and animal owners know in advance.
  • Attend organised displays rather than setting off fireworks unexpectedly.
  • Avoid setting off fireworks near fields, farms or livestock.

For us, Bonfire Night means checking fences, comforting frightened animals and doing everything we can to keep them safe.

One evening of entertainment for you could mean hours of fear for them.

We’re not asking people to stop celebrating — simply to think about the animals around them.

Please celebrate with kindness. 🩷
